- Description
- The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Indigo Systems, 50 Castilian Drive, Goleta CA 93117. This acquisition is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 334511. The following item will be procured: Phoenix INSB laboratory 14 bit MWIR camera system with high speed data acquisition electroincs. Indigo will provide a infrared camera system that includes the following accessories and features: a 4 wheel position filter wheel, 640 x 512 pixel array size, hard carry case for computer and camera, ruggedized portable cimpyter, one day training at AFRL, 50? and 10? cables, 50mm 1.5-5 micron lens, and 100mm 3-5 micron lens. Additional the following equipment and system requirements are required: short image integration time in full frame mode, imaging data rates in excess of 1 KHz for subsections of imager, 14-bit dynamic range is minimum, ability to correct for pixel-pixel non-uniformity, imaging 1.5-5 specctral range, imager must have a frame rate of at least 90 Hz for the entire 640x512 array, and minimum scene integration time of no more than 25 us when recording full frame images. Camera optical requirements: F/number of lens will be no greater than f/2.3, 100 mm focal length lens with a spectral range from 3-5um, allow for the mounting of additional, optional lenses/imaging telescope systems, cooled by either liquid Nitrogen or thermoelectric cooler. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government?s requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is September 6, 2002. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, September 3, 2002. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 5 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
