- Description
- The Billings Area Indian Health Service (IHS) is requesting proposals in accordance with the requirements of Request for Proposal (RFP)-244-02-0017-REL for the provision of Orthopedic Services for the Blackfeet Service Unit, PHS Indian Hospital, Browning, Montana. This unrestricted procurement is being conducted pursuant to the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items (Title VIII of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 (Public Law 103-355)) and FAR Subpart 37.4 Nonpersonal Health Care Services (10 U.S.C. 2304 and 41 U.S.C. 253). The services include specialty clinics, twice per month, and outpatient surgical procedures at the Blackfeet Service Unit, PHS Indian Hospital, Browning, Montana; and offsite inpatient surgical procedures at the Contractors facility. The contract employees shall be subject to a character investigation as required by Public Law 101-630, Indian Family Violence Prevention Act and Public Law 101-647, Crime Control Act. The contract will be awarded for a 12-month period with one 12-month option. Requests for the solicitation should be submitted by September 3, 2002. The tentative issue date of the solicitation is September 4, 2002, with a response date of September 18, 2002.
