- Description
- The National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Aging, Gerontology Research Center, intends to negotiate with Johns Hopkins University for a seven-year cost reimbursement, completion type research contract. This study will measure physiologic vascular properties and EBCT-defined extent of coronary atherosclerotic burden (as well as MRI-defined extent of carotid atherosclerotic burden) in different volunteers and patient populations. This scientific research service is available from only one responsible source, i.e., Johns Hopkins University. The contractor shall undertake several tasks to describe the extent of coronary artery calcification and MRI measures of vascular structure and function. The statutory authority for this action is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) 1 as set forth in FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This is NOT a Request for Proposal. If, however, there are any responsible sources who feel they possess the abilities which would enable them to perform this project, they may submit a proposal which will be considered by NIH.
