Description
NA NOTE: THIS WAS ORIGINALLY LISTED AS SOLICITATION NUMBER DASW01-02-R-0035. The Defense Contracting Command-Washington (DCCW) Health Affairs Division, on behalf of the TRICARE Management Activity (TMA), currently intends to acquire technical, analytical, and database maintenance and management support for a base year plus four opt ions years to update and maintain MIL-STD-1691 database and the CD-RMS. Military Standard 1691, Construction and Material Schedule for Military Medial and Dental Facilities, provides a schedule of equipment for medial and dental facilities. The information contained in the standard applies to military construction budgets and is used to identify equipment requirements for construction and renovation planning. We contemplate this to be a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. This update and maintenance contract will ensure the currency of the standard with the prevailing standard of practice in both medicine and dentistry. All information for items contained in the MIL-STD-1691 is to be updated every four (4) years and in the case of high dollar items every two (2) years. The contract will require the review of price, model, utility, description and nomenclature of defined equipment. The contract will identify obsolete items and recommend their replacement or deletion and wi ll include the addition of new items to the standard. The output of the contract will be a quarterly database to the Government that will reflect changes and allow for inclusion of said changes in the Space and Equipment Planning Systems (SEPS). This is the primary tool used in the planning of new and renova ted medical and dental facilities. The second output requirement is a set of MIL-STD-1691 catalog cut sheets for all items contained in the standard. These cut sheets are to be provided biannually. The solicitation number is RFP# DASW01-02-R-0035 at web sites http://www.tricare.osd.mil/contracting/tmamenu.cfm and http://www.dccw.hqda.pentagon.mil. The solicitation web posting date is expected to be on or about 6 September 2002. Work is currently be ing performed by SRA International Inc.
