Description: The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed-Price modification to an existing contract with Alliant Techsystems, Inc., Rocket Center, West Virginia. This is to procure up to 50 Sparrow AIM MK58 MOD 5 Rocket Motors for the USN. Alliant Techsystems, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the Sparrow AIM MK58 MOD 5 Rocket Motor and is the only source that possesses the requisite technical and engineering capability to fulfill this requirement within the required timeframe.
