This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item(s) prepared in accordance with FAR12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be submit ted. The solicitation number is DABT67-02-R-0008. The Solicitation document and incorporated Provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-09. This Procurement is restricted, the SIC Code is 5045; the North A merican Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 421430; the FSC 7045. The Directorate of Contracting intends to issue a firm fixed price Contract for CD-R Duplication System consisting of the following components. CLIN 0001: CD Duplication System consisting of the following 5 ? Media-form vantage duplication systems, Model 2000-8-V-T, with integrated image (only) thermal CD printers. Each unit is to be capable of stand-alone operation, or network operation. Each unit will produce eight duplicate CD?s at 24 X of faster and print labels on duplicated CD?s. Units are to be capable of fully automatic, unattended operation, with the capacity of a minimum of 500 blank CD?s. Units are to be capable of local or remote operation via network. 1 ? RAIDTEC SNAZ E4450GB NAS Raid Server all network switches, hubs and cabling needed to network the duplication systems and Raid Server. Complete on site installation and testing system by qualified, factory-trained personnel. System will be fully operational, ?T urn-Key? system upon completion of installation by vendor personnel. Priority technical support for entire system, available during normal business hours, nights, and weekends. Supplier will provide operation and maintenance training to Government person nel. Minimum of one-year warranty on all equipment, parts, and labor. Warranty shall cover system in its entirety. Factory Warranties that exceeds one year are to be noted. Delivery term shall be FOB Destination, Presidio of Monterey, Monterey CA. The following Provisions and Clauses are incorporated and shall remain in full force in any resulting Contract. FAR Part 52.212-1; Instruction to Offerors, Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commerci al Items. FAR 52.212-3, Alt I Officers Representations and Certification-Commercial items FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items. FAR 52.214-21, Descriptive Literature, DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, and DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items. Quotes w ill be evaluated in accordance FAR 13.106-2 (b)(3)(i). Award will be made based on delivery schedule, past performance, and price. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussions. The Government will con sider all quotes received by September 20, 2002.
