- Environmental, Health and Safety Online Training The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has two facilities, one located in Washington, DC and one in Fort Worth, Texas. BEP employees work in various technical, printing, production, production support, clerical, and other positions. Many BEP employees are required to receive safety, health and environmental training to comply with applicable laws and regulations set by federal, state and local regulatory authorities. The BEP requires a dedicated and customized website which will provide safety, health and environmental training for BEP employees, test the employees knowledge of the training, track the training and test results and provide documentation that the employee has completed the training. The website shall be compatible with all existing BEP networking infrastructure, including firewalls. This website shall have limited or no streaming video and shall not require the use of proprietary plug-ins for client browsers. The website shall be accessible by handicapped persons as required in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. The application must be compatible and function properly on the following workstation platforms currently in use at the Bureau: Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The contractor shall produce a product which meets established Departmental and Bureau regulations and directives regarding sound computing practices and without compromising the integrity of the Bureau network. The contractor supplied website will also include a ?tickler? system to notify the BEP administrator and provide a list of employees that are in need of training or re-training on a quarterly and annual basis. The website shall be capable of allowing up to one hundred (100) BEP employees to access the system at any one time without interruption, systems failures or downtime. The BEP shall be provided with the capability to change any and all graphics or course outline and materials on an as needed basis. The subjects to be included in this online training shall include at least the following Environmental Courses: Asbestos Awareness Training; Lead Awareness Training; Hazard Communications ?Right-To-Know? Training; HAZWOPER 8 Hour Refresher Training; HAZ-MAT Spill Prevention & Control Training; HAZ-MAT Transportation Training; Compressed Gas Safety; Materials Handling, Storage, Use & Disposal Training; Radiation Training; Confined-Space Entry Training and Combustible & Flammable Liquids Training. The online Training shall include at least the following Occupational Safety & Health Course: Blood-Borne Pathogens Training; Forklift Safety Training; Machine Guarding Training; Hand & Power Tool Safety Training; Incident Investigation Training; Laboratory Safety Training; Welding Safety; General Construction Safety; Personal Protective Equipment Training; Respiratory Protection Training; Risk Assessment Analysis Training; Lock-Out/Tag-Out Training; Indoor Air Quality Training; Fall Protection Training; Ladder & Scaffolding Safety Training; and Industrial Ergonomics Training. The online Training shall include at least the following General Safety Courses: Back Injury Prevention; Slips, Trips & Falls Prevention; Hearing Conservation; Eye Safety; CPR Training; General First Aid Training; Drug-Free Workplace Training; Alcohol-Free Workplace Training; Electrical Safety Training; General Office Ergonomics Training; Emergency Preparedness Training; Fire Extinguisher Training; Fire Prevention Safety; Driving Safety; and Office Safety. The future contract shall be a five year (5) contract with one base year and four one-year option periods. The number of employees to be included in the license for web-based safety training is anticipated to be a minimum of 2,000 employees with the possibility of a maximum of 3,500 employees.
