- Description
- The Air Force Metrology Calibration Detachment is considering the purchase of twenty-five (25) Environmental Monitoring Systems. The EMS shall monitor temperature and humidity in all of the separate rooms in each PMEL that require Environmental Monitoring in order for the laboratory to pass certain environmental certifications. It should take the place of standalone chart recorders. This is a paperless datalogger that shall have remote probes, measuring temp and humidity. The unit shall have a temperature accuracy of +/- 0.5 deg F or better and +/- 2% RH. The unit shall have internal data storage but shall also have the capability of being connected to and storing its data on a government supplied PC using a supplied software application. The item shall have graphical and tabular displays that can toggle and show both humidity and temperature in real time at the same time. It shall also have some type of alarm when the lab is out of a set tolerance. The unit shall have internal battery power to store data points in case unit is taken off AC power due to outages or using it at an off site location. The temperature sensors shall be accurate to within 0.5 deg for a claibration temperature range of 60 to 90 deg with a full range from 2 to 120 deg F. The humidity sensors shall be accurate to within 2% RH for a calibration range of 20 to 60% RH. The sensors must be capable of being removed and calibrated on site. There shall be a temperature and humidity sensor and its corresponding digital display installed in each room. The digital display shall contain the real time display of both temperature and humidity and the data-logging properties of the EMS. Each sensor shall have a minimum of excess of 6 feet of cable to allow for moving the sensor, if needed. The EMS is required to have a front end, menue driven, operating software package. The software shall fully operate in a Microsoft Windows environment. The software of the system shall monitor all the rooms continuously and record the temperature and humidity of each room. The sampling rate shall be user selectable with at least a 15 minute sampling rate as a minimum. The data shall be stored in the internal memory of the EMS and have the capability of down loading to the government supplied PC as described above. This program shall display the environmental data on the PC in tabular form and in graphical format. Graphs shall have user selected x and y axis and have user selected tolerance bands to show when the room is out of tolerance. The graphs and tables shall have comment blocks that shall allow the technician to add notes and other specific room location data. All rights and source codes shall also be provided. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR AN INDICATION THAT THE AIR FORCE INTENDS TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES/SUPPLIES.
