- NAICS Code: 54162 Task 1: Facilitate Strategy Development for Promoting Environmentally Preferable Cleaning Products by Federal Agencies----------------- The contractor shall facilitate a one-day strategy development session with members of EPA's Environmentally Preferable Purchasing team, representatives of GSA's Public Building Service, GSA's new Procurement Division, GSA's NISH Contract Manager, and representatives of the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive. This strategy development session shall focus on developing specific action steps for promoting the use of environmentally preferable cleaning products in federal agencies. The contractor shall prepare the agenda, facilitate the session, record key findings, discussions, and draft minutes of the meeting. (EPA PO shall be responsible for meeting logistics such as any needed audio-visual equipment, supplies and conference room) --------- Task 2: Develop Draft Implementation Strategy ---- Based on the recommendations from the strategy session, the contractor shall draft an implementation strategy designed to increase the purchase and use of environmentally preferable cleaning products and services by federal agencies. This draft strategy shall include a list of key stakeholders, including specific contacts in each federal agency who manage the use and/or purchase of cleaning products and services, and key custodial services contractors. The strategy should also describe how to tailor the initial message to each audience in the most effective way to reach that target audience and persuade them to use environmentally preferable cleaning products. This draft implementation shall: ? Identify key decision makers involved in purchasing cleaning products. ? Identify incentives and obstacles to the purchase and use of environmentally preferable cleaning products by Federal Agencies. ? Identify the various ways Federal agencies purchase and/or use cleaning products and develop "greening" strategies suitable for the range of situations encountered. ? If appropriate, identify new educational materials and approaches that may be needed to reach key audiences (may include, for example, meetings, teleconferences, training sessions, distribution of printed or electronic materials, etc.) ? Identify proposed metrics for measuring the effectiveness of this outreach program and plan for collecting the metrics post implementation.--------------- Task 3: Begin Initial Implementation of Strategy ----------- Based on the approval of the draft implementation strategy by the strategy development group and the PO, the contractor shall work with EPA (and other agencies, as appropriate) to implement the initial steps in the strategy. The PO shall provide direction to the contractor on the sequence of the implementation steps to be taken under the scope of this work. ----Task 4:Lessons Learned Report ------- The contractor shall develop a brief report documenting the lessons learned based on the results of the implementation of the strategy to date. This report shall include recommendations for the next phase of implementation and shall include specific steps necessary for continuing the implementation efficiently and effectively. ////
