Description

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Foods Safety and Nutrition (CFSAN), has a requirement to be awarded on a sole source for the purchase of reprints and updates of the ?Diagnosis and Management of Foodborne Illness? A Primer for Physicians?. It is requested that this purchase be made from the American Medical Association (AMA) in cooperation with the FDA, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has developed an educational tool on foodborne illness for physicians. This Primer is intended to provide physicians and other health care professionals with current guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment, reporting, and prevention of foodborne illness. It also provides health professionals with information for patients on prevention of foodborne illness. AMA will provide 20,000 Reprints and Updates in English and 5,000 Reprints and Updates in Spanish of the ?Diagnosis and Management of Foodborne Illness: A Primer for Physicians? to the CFSAN, FDA. It is anticipated that the period of performance will be one year. Therefore, awarded will be made on a sole source basis and no solicitation will result from this announcement.
