Description
The U.S. Army, Tacom/Ardec intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole-source basis with Eupec Incorporated under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. See note Number 22. This action is for the procurement of the following items: Item #1 Quantity: 14 each. Field Stop technology based High Voltage Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBT). These devices will be rated to block up to 6500 volt. The case must be isolated for at least 10kv. These devices must be suitable to operate in Pulsed Power and Electric Drive applications. Item #2 Quantity: 8 each. Controllers for item #1 Item #3 Quantity: 8 each. DC to DC Converter to interface between Item #1 and Item #2. Item #4 Quantity: 8 each. 6.5 KV-600Amp Average free wheeling diode having di/dt=2ka/?s Item #5 Quantity of six (6) sets of Technical data sheets and application manuals for above Item #s 1-4, and two-year warranty- parts and labor. Warranty excludes any damage due to mishandling or misuse. Item #6 Quantity: 4 each. Light Triggered 13kv Thyristor switches having integrated break over diode and high di/dt for Pulsed Power applications. Technical Specifications:Operating Voltage:13KV,di/dt >20ka/?s, Peak Current >200ka, Pulse Width 250?s, Reverse Recovery Time <100?s Item # 7 Quantity: 2 each. Laser Guides to provide direction and focus for the triggering lasers Item # 8 Quantity: 2 each. Lasers to provide the triggering signal to the light triggered Thyristor Item # 9 Quantity of three (3) sets of Technical data sheets and application manuals for above Item #s 1-4, and two-year warranty- parts and labor. Warranty excludes any damage due to mishandling or misuse. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) DAAE30-02- Q-0413. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 421690. The small business size standard is 500 employees. FOB is Destination - Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. Delivery is 6 weeks from date of award. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, The evaluation procedures to be used are technical acceptability and price. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with their offer. 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items A firm fixed price award will be made to the technically acceptable offeror with a fair and reasonable price. Commercial warranty requirements apply to this acquisition that are consistent with customary commercial practices.
