Description: NA HQ, Operations Support Command is conducting a market survey of industry to identify substitutions for 4340 cold-rolled steel. The technical description is Steel Bar, Rectangle, 4340 cold rolled, ASTM A331 or ASTM A322. A respondent to this market survey should provide documentation of proposed substitutions' characteristics and its comparability to 4340 cold rolled steel. Please respond to this notice no later than 4 October 2002. This is a market survey for planning purposes only and shall not be cons trued as obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request or otherwise pay for information solicited.
