Description

NA The work of this project consists of maintenance dredging New Haven Harbor to provide a minimum depth of 35 feet below M.L.W., with 2 feet of allowable overdepth. Approximately 621,000 cubic yards of maintenance material will be dredged from the. The wor k must proceed from the inner harbor seaward. Dredging will be performed by bucket dredge and scows. Disposal will be at the Central Long Island Sound Disposal Area located about 6 miles South of New Haven. Dredging must be completed by January 31, 2003 . A production rate of 200,000 cubic yards/month is required in order to complete the work within the time period specified. The estimated cost of this work is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The solicitation shall be made available via the Internet on or about 10/01/02. No paper copies of the solicitation or any amendments subsequently issued will be available. Prospective bidders, subcontractors, and plan rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive the solicitation. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.nae.usace.army.mil as well as the media by which the solicitation will be made available. Neither telephonic, mailed nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the New England District.
