Description

Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to extend the boat ramp at Station Alexandria Bay, Jefferson County, NY. Work includes: Provide and install temporary containment dikes or other containment measures around the work area and de-water the site to accomplish work in the ?dry.? Underwater placement of fresh concrete will not be allowed. Remove approximately a 14 foot wide by 22 foot long by one and a half foot thick layer of loose sand/silt materials as required to place new stone base/boat ramp concrete on solid material or the rock ledge. Place and consolidate removed material along the sides of the existing boat ramp within the limits specified. Material shall be graded uniformly to blend into adjoining soil material. Place and consolidate stone fill within the excavated area to form the base for the boat ramp extension. Place and compact base course material atop the stone fill to form a smooth and uniform surface for the concrete. Place and extend geo-textile filter fabric atop the edges and end of the base material as shown and required for complete encasement of stone fill material. Form and place concrete to form the boat ramp extension as shown. Groove/finish the surface to match the adjoining boat ramp surface. The transition between the new ramp extension and existing ramp shall be doweled with rebar dowels as shown. Remove and salvage the existing wheel stop and reinstall at the end of the new boat ramp extension as shown. Incidental work items not listed above and necessary for completing the project shall be included.. This procurement is estimated between $25K and $100K. This procurement is open to large and small businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. The Applicable SIC code is 1771/NAICS 235710.
