Description

The United States Marshals Service (USMS), Department of Justice intends to contract with the El Paso Times, El Paso, Texas for the advertisement of legal notices on judicial cases involved in Asset Forfeiture. The newspaper must be of general circulation and the approved advertising must advertise the required number of consecutive weeks in the Sunday Newspaper. Notices are part of the Court documents that are ordered by the judge. The Western District of Texas does not consider the small legal publications to be in general circulation. The El Paso Times is the only newspaper in El Paso, Texas and is the only known source that has been identified as capable of providing the advertising in the El Paso, Texas and surrounding areas for the required days. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to the requirement. This is a notice of intent and not a request for quote. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
