Description
INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A FIVE-YEAR LEASE WITH ONE FIVE YEAR OPTION FOR UP TO 524,867 RENTABLE SQUARE FEET OF OFFICE AND RELATED SPACE AND SIX OFFICIAL PARKING SPACES. THE LEASE WILL ALSO INCLUDE THAT SECURITY REQUIREMENTS MAY NECESSITATE CONTROL OF PARKING AND OTHER AGENCY SPECIFIC SECURITY REQUIREMENTS. THIS LEASE ACTION IS SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF A PROSPECTUS BY GSA?S CONGRESSIONAL OVERSIGHT COMMITTEES. The General Services Administration (GSA) announces that it intends to negotiate a succeeding lease at the Zachary Taylor Building, located at 2531 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA 22202 for a five year term with one five year option, for up to 524,867 rentable square feet of office and related space. Six official parking spaces are required and the Government may require control of available parking as well as other agency specific security requirements. This lease action is subject to the approval of a prospectus by GSA?s Congressional oversight committees. The required space must be within 2500 walkable linear feet from the Rosslyn, Pentagon, Pentagon City, or Crystal City Metro Stations in order to meet the tenant agency?s mission requirements. The space must be ready for complete occupancy by October 2003 and otherwise satisfy the tenant agency?s specific security requirements. The Government will consider any sources that meet all of its requirements to determine whether relocation is in the best interest of the Government. A cost-benefit analysis and consideration of other factors including timing, costs of moving, alterations costs, security considerations, impact on agency mission and other variables to be determined by the Government will be considered in the relocation decision. Expressions of Interest should include building name & address, BOMA rentable and usable SF available, description of existing or potential security features including control of parking, current and future tenancies, and projected occupancy date.
