Description
This is a modification to the RFI entitled WIRELESS TELEPHONE SERVICE AND LOCAL/NATIONWIDE PAGER SERVICE which was posted on September 10, 2002. You are notified that the due date has been extended for receipt of responses to September 20, 2002 at 4pm (CST) due to receipt of questions.= =20 The questions and their answers are provided below. 1.Must the global wireless roaming originate with the local Houston area code? It is not required that the global wireless roaming originate with the local Houston area code. Our focus is that the global wireless roaming must provide quality service. 2.Is it mandatory that you have a one=3Dphone solution for this contract or will you accept a second phone, exclusively dedicated to the international portion? NASA/JSC prefers a one-phone solution however we will entertain a two-phone solution. 3.Is it required to keep your 6-year old Motorola 8700 phones, or will you accept new phone models at no additional cost? NASA/JSC will accept new phone models (equal or better). 4. Are you looking to issue the contract to one provider, or will you consider one provider for domestic and one for international? NASA/JSC is looking to issue a contract to one provider. 5.What are the criteria for selecting the international provider? NASA/JSC is looking to issue a contract to one provider for nationwide and international support. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 1997 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
