- The U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (USINS), intends to solicit and award a sole source purchase order utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Neoteric Hovercraft, Inc., 1649 Tippecanoe St. Terre Haute, IN 47807-2394. This requirement is for one (1) each of the following: Neoteric Hovertrek Rescue Hovercraft, Model 3626; spare parts and hardware kit, Neoteric P/N 9812; rescue lift handle system, Neoteric P/N 3962; 200,000 candle power spotlight (mounted), Neoteric P/N 3712; long range fuel system, Neoteric P/N 3702; transport trailer, Neoteric P/N 3671; spare skirt system, Neoteric P/N 3559; additional battery system, Neoteric P/N 3543; spare wheel and tire (for trailer), Neoteric P/N 1280; and Hirth engine with installation, Neoteric P/N 3974. The hovercraft has the unique capability to go in reverse for braking and an added heavy-duty body modification to reinforce the hull. The intent of this solicitation is for information only, and is not a request for competitive quotations; no competitive solicitation will be issued. All information received by the Government by 4:00pm Pacific Time, September 24, 2002 will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. Interested organizations may submit information about their product to Mike Nepsa at fax 949-360-3013. The Government reserves the right to award on an all or none basis. Information submitted by interested firms shall include descriptive literature for all equipment proposed, county of origin for each item, written warranty on all items, turn-around time for delivery, and TIN and DUNS. This requirement is solicited FOB Destination. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. NAICS 326291 applies.
