Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) anticipates issuing a solicitation for a new requirement for its Washington, DC facility. The purpose of this notice is two-fold (1) to identify potential sources capable of deisigning, fabricating, delivering, installing and testing Sheet-fed, intaglio, water-wipe presses and (2) to provide interested parties the opportunity to review a draft Statement of Work, which can be downloaded from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at www.eps.gov. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. Solicitations are not available at this time, and as such any request for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does constitute a commitment by the Government. At this point, the BEP does not intend to set up a contract for equipment, but would like to receive comments on the draft SOW and to review sheet-fed, intaglio, water-wipe press literature and pricing as part of market research to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Interested parties should send comments on the draft SOW and questions regarding this requirement to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), Office of Procurement, Attn: Cynthia A.
