Description
The Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Contracting Squadron located at 2021 First Street West, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas 78150-4302 intends to award a sole source contract to Eidos Corporation. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is issued as a Request for Quotes in response to Order number F41689-02-P-0032. The acquisition falls under SIC codes 3998 & 5085 and NAICS code 339999. The small business size standard is 500 employees or less. The resultant contract will be for 59 Model 117GS Ranger Work Chairs/Benches. Seat back tilt range is 85 degrees, seat dimensions are 17? x 20?, Base length is 31?, Base Width is 26?, and the Seat height range is 18? to 30?. The chair is a fully adjustable workstation constructed of 12 gauge steel. This model has a gas spring actuated back with infinite adjustment from the vertical to horizontal position with a touch lever. Armrests are also included. It has the footprint of an office chair. The chair can be viewed at the following website www.eidosergonomics.com. The next chair that will be acquired is a Model 103 WorkMaster and the quantity will be 104. The chair is constructed of 12 Gauge Steel, has a baked on Epoxy powder coat, gas cylinder, Durable injection molded seat, 31 ?? Heavy duty Casters, and has a heavy-duty hand brake. The footprint for the chair is 28 ??L x 18?W. The seat is 21?L x 191 ??W. The seat height (bottom) is 10?. The back height (upright) is 33?. The back height (fully reclined) is 14 ?? and the ground clearance is 1?. This particular model of the chair can also be viewed at www.eidosergonomics.com. Delivery is to be made to 7 different locations as follows: 20 Model 103 and 10 Model 117 to Laughlin AFB, Texas. 20 Model 103 and 10 Model 117 to Randolph AFB, Texas. 12 Model 103 and 3 Model 117 to Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. 7 Model 103 and 7 Model 117 to Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. 35 Model 103 and 19 Model 117 to Luke AFB, Arizona. 10 Model 103 and 10 Model 117 to Tyndall AFB, Florida. The expected delivery date (FOB destination) to the above listed locations is 8 weeks after contract award. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Quotes will be evaluated on the basis of price and compliance with the requirements of this solicitation. Each offeror is to include with their quote a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
