- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington has a requirement to purchase telephone services for midshipmen at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. This requirement intends to be a sole-source procurement to PaeTec Communications, Inc., 22685 Holiday Park Drive, Suite #20, Sterling, Virginia 20166. A Justification and Approval is being processed for this requirement. The requirement is for monthly Direct Inward Dial (DID) phone service and local dial tone via 8 Primary Rate Interfaces for midshipmen at the Naval Academy for the period of performance of 1 November 2002 - 30 September 2003. The requirement will include monthly 8 PRI TI, 8 PRI TI/TI EUCL, and 45 (100) Direct Inward Dial Station Numbers for the period of performance of the contract. This requirement will provide the necessary local exchange block of numbers (443-321-1000-1400, 2000-2400, 3000-3400, 4000-4400, 5000-5400, 6000-6400, 7000-7400, and 8000-8400) as required to match the numbering schema series established by the US Naval Academy Information Technology Services Division to correspond with midshipmen room numbers. This requirement has four (4) options, quantity twelve months each, of continuing telephone service for midshipmen at the Naval Academy. These options may be exercised at any time prior to the expiration of the current lot. This is a commercial item and shall be procured under FAR 13.5 " Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. All technical documentation must be submitted in the English language. All interested parties must respond by 25 October 2002 at 4:00 p.m. local time. To be considered, interested offerors must submit complete technical literature, by mail, describing their capability to comply with this requirement, as well as terms and conditions, and a complete price quote by the above deadline to Chiara Alsop at (202) 433-2137. No solicitation exists and requests for a copy of the solicitation will be ignored unless a solicitation is subsequently issued. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. Offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to award. The CCR website can be accessed at http://www.ccr.gov. Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The contract shall be firm fixed price (FFP). See note 22.
