- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued unless requested. The solicitation number is USZA95-03-T-0003, and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The due date is 6 November 2002 no later than 12:00noon est. Quotes may be submitted via e-mail to spowell@tapo.eustis.army.mil, or by fax to (757) 878-4199. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2002-06. The associated NAICS code for this acquisition is 336413 and small business standard of 1000 employees. The U.S. Special Operations Command has a requirement for 120 each LT-48E, Power Converters to be delivered by 15 December 2002 to the TAPO Warehouse located at 5749 Briar Hill Road, Door 12, Lexington, KY 40516. The converter requested is the only product that will satisfy the current requirement. It is the Government's intent to award a contract on a sole-source basis to KGS Electronics, 418 East Live Oak Avenue, Arcadia, CA 91006 on the basis that they are the only known source for this item. If interested parties show an interest as a result of this notice, they will be given due consideration required by law, and will determine whether or not this item can become competitive for any future requirement. Note 22 applies, however, no competition is anticipated. The following provisions and clauses are applicable to this procurement: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items (Offerors are instructed to complete this section and return with their quote); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items; 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items; and 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Order Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items.
