Description
NA This proposed procurement is an unrestricted competitive action. Both large and small contractors may bid. NAICS 236210(Industrial Building Construction) / SIC Code 1541. The size standard is $28,500,000. Estimated cost of construction is between $5-$1 0 Million. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. This project is located at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, (Pima County) AZ. The bidders attention is directed to the Corp of Engineer Albuquerque District?s Website at www.spa.usace.army.mil and Secti on 00100 in the Solicitation for Bid for information regarding the tour of this site. The approximate construction period is 540 calendar days. Plans will be issued on or about 15 Nov 2002 with bids due 16 Dec 2002. This solicitation will be issued in CD -Rom format; it will not be issued on paper. Description of Work: Work consists of construction of a 2,287 square meter maintenance hanger to support the beddown of the HH-60 Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) mission at Davis-Monthan AFB. The maintenance han ger will be a stand alone structure located adjacent to the flight line. The hanger will provide the covered space necessary for maintenance and inspection of the HH-60 helicopter and the related weapons system. The work will consist of construction of the hanger, removal and replacement of existing concrete apron and construction of new parking and utilities. A new 464 square meter warehouse will be constructed to replace the demolition of the existing warehouse, Building 1749. This project will be adverti sed as an Unrestricted Invitation for Bids. The Government will award to lowest priced responsive, responsible bidder. This proposed procurement will result in a fixed-price contract. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED USING ELECTRONIC BID SETS ( EBS) AND PROVIDED ON COMPACT DISKS-READ ONLY (CED-ROM) AT NO CHARGE TO ALL REGISTERED PLANHOLDERS.
