- Description
- The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) intends to award multiple Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to (1) provide on-site assistance to Youthbuild recipients to improve the management and implementation of their programs and to document the nature of this assistance through periodic reports; (2) provide assistance to eligible applicants under the program in preparing their grant applications; (3) conduct training workshops on key aspects of the Youthbuild program and prepare appropriate instructional materials for those workshops; (4) conduct seminars to facilitate peer to peer assistance for staff of Youthbuild programs to strengthen program design and management; (5) disseminate information related to best program practices which are identified through training workshops, seminars and on-site technical assistance; and (6) prepare handbooks on various topics. By law, contract awards for this type of effort must be made to either qualified public nonprofit entities or private nonprofit entities. The multiple awards will be made roughly along the same jurisdictional boundary of HUD's ten (10) Regional Offices. Each contract will have a base period of two (2) years, with two (2) one-year option periods. The Request for Proposals will be issued on or about November 20, 2002. The closing date for receipt of offers will be on or about December 23, 2002.
