- Description
- "The Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory ("INEEL") is soliciting interest from companies actively involved in oil and gas drilling activities to assist in evaluating a novel drill string seismic source for use in pore-pressure prediction and/or seismic surveying while drilling. The purpose of the joint collaboration is to evaluate the technical capability and the concepts of seismic data as well as pore pressure prediction acquired during drilling. The developmental concept is able to utilize existing drilling hardware and would be powered by drill-mud flow. The collaborative research may or may not include concurrent seismic receiver development. Knowledge and experience in working with down hole equipment (i.e. motors, turbines, pumps, gearing, generators, & shafting) not normally associate with drilling would be beneficial. If the development project is successful, the novel technology would be available for license to the party and/or parties providing funding and in-kind support. Expressions of interest should be received not later than 11/30/2002." POC: Phillip B. West--Technical Lead E-Mail: west@inel.gov Telephone: 208-526-1538 David R.
