Description
This modification to the original synopsis posted Oct 7, 2002, incorporates changes to the dates for issuance of the solicitation documents and receipt of bids. Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park Project PRA-FRSP 13(1), 15(1), 16(1), 17(1), 21(1), 100(1) and 300(1) in Spotsylvania and Caroline Counties, Virginia. This project consists of rehabilitating the following park roads: RTE 13 - Furnace Road, Sickles Drive, Stuart Drive, and Bullock Road; RTE 14 Hooker Drive; Rte 15 - Berry-Paxton Drive; RTE 16 - Jackson Trail East; RTE 17 - Jackson Trail West; RTE 21 - Jackson Shrine Road; RTE 100 - Hancock Road; RTE 300 - McCoull House Road; RTE 407 - Chancellor Cemetery Road. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Bid documents are scheduled to be issued on or about Dec 19, 2002. Bids will be due on or about Jan 22, 2003. Interested parties should register as an Interested Vendor and also register to receive notifications regarding this solicitation through the Federal Business Opportunities website. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
