Description

NA This notice is for information purposes only. The Government has completed its Market Research and concluded only TRW, Tactical Systems, Systems and Information Technology Group, Carson, CA. possesses the unique capabilities to provide the Government FBCB 2 LRIP OY 3 requirements. The government intends to acquire approximately 3,000 Low Rate Initial Production Applique+ V-4 computers, and the platform unique installation kits, installation services, training, site operation, field support and maintenance of these systems by modification of an existing LRIP contract DAAB07-00-D-E501. This acquisition is for the PM Force Twenty-One, Battle Command, Brigade and Below (FBCB2) to complete the ongoing training and sustainment efforts leading to the Program's IO T&E. These FBCB2 LRIP Applique+ V-4 computer systems support implementation of the Army's objective of digitizing the battlefield. This procurement is to be acquired on a sole source basis as a modification to contract DAAB07-00-D-E501 with TRW. TRW is the incumbent on this LRIP effort which will end FY03. Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been approved by the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c )(1) and FAR 6.302-1.
