Description
NA Hydrographic Survey Systems Maintenance and Repair The US Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, is seeking for sources, which have had at least five years of demonstrated experience maintaining hydrographic survey systems, two years of which shall be installing and maintaining equipment and softwar e from the specific companies listed below: Panasonic notebook computers (Windows 98 and Windows 2000 operating systems; Innerspace 456 dual frequency, single-beam depth sounders; Innerspace 449 single frequency, single-beam depth sounders; Ross and Innerspace transducers, 200 kHz and 28 kHz; Trimble navigation GPS; TSS, Ltd. Heave/pitch/roll sensor; Coastal Oceanographics Hypack Max and version 8.9 software; Coastal Oceanographics helm display; and Miscellaneous electronic components. Maintenance and repair work will be performed on-site in Charleston, South Carolina, and, on occasion, at the contractor's facility. Past experience with these systems, particularly when obtaining new equipment, has revealed numerous hardware and software interface problems that had to be resolved. Extensive reconfigurations and software modifications have been necessary for the initial setup of new equipment to insure future operations of the system. Contract will be awarded for one base year and up to four option years. The Government will consider responses received within 10 days after the date of publication of this synopsis.
