Description
This requirement is for the procurement of 7 each Inlet Fan Case Assemblies, NSN 2840-01-389-4132NZ, P/N 4082257-01 applicable to the F100PW229 engine. This item is approximately 3 feet in diameter by 5 inches in width. The predominant material of manufacture is AMS 4928 Titanium Alloy. Form, fit and function: The Inlet Fan Case mounts to the front compressor rotor and stator assembly. It houses the number one bearing, has fixed and variable vane segments, various tube assembies in the shrouds. Varies airflow through back section of engine. The government contemplates placing an order against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement. The governments required delivery schedule is 7 each by Dec 03. Items will be delivered to FB2039, Tinker AFB. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR 52.209-1. Additional information may be obtained from the Source Development Office, OC-ALC/BC, 3001 Staff Drive, Ste# 1AC85A, Tinker AFB OK 73145-3009 or (405) 739-7243 or (405) 739-7244. The government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SAR?s). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SAR?s as soon as possible. If the government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. The currently approved source(s) are Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT. No telephone requests will be accepted. The contracting office will accept requests for solicitations via fax number (405) 734-8776. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This solicitation will be made available to interested parties through electronic data interchange. This solicitation will be posted via the Federal Business Opportunities website http://epsa.satx.disa.mil. Notes 22, 23 and 26 apply.
