- Description
- NA The U.S. Army Product Manager Force Sustainment Systems is currently seeking potential sources for the design, development, and production of a Mobile Integrated Remains Collection System (MIRCS). The MIRCS will consist of an expandable shelter that will provide a means for military Mortuary Affairs (MA) personnel to conduct initial identification and processing of remains on the battlefield. The interior of the MIRCS shelter will provide temperature controlled processing and administrative work areas and an onboard temperature controlled remains storage area for 16 to 20 remains. The target temperature for the remains storage area will be 34-36 degrees Fahrenheit (F). Target temperature for the administrative work area is 68 degrees F (plus or minus 10 degrees F). The MIRCS shelter will be no larger than 8 feet by 8 feet by 20 feet when in transport configuration to accommodate all required transport modes, including C130 aircraft, and external helicopter sling-load. The MIRCS shall be loaded onto, and , transportable by the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck Load Handling System (HEMTT-LHS) vehicle with no additional equipment. The total weight of the shelter with onboard components shall not exceed the limitations of the transport vehicle. The MI RCS will be capable of operation while mounted or dismounted on the HEMTT-LHS. The MIRCS shelter will have an onboard power generator sufficient to run all equipment and accessories. It will also be capable of operating from 120/208 volt 50/60 Hertz (Hz) external power sources. The MIRCS shelter will have multiple electrical power outlets and integrated lighting in the work areas to allow for continued work during conditions of daylight, darkness, and military blackout lighting conditions. The shelter w ill contain two mobile platforms for remains processing and preparation. The MIRCS shelter will also have onboard water storage (50 to 100 gallons) and hot and cold running water. The MIRCS will have holding tanks for waste water or a means for treating waste water for disposal. Interior areas of the MIRCS shelter, including the remains storage area, will be easily sanitizable. During movement, the remains storage area temperature requirement will be maintained. The MIRCS will be operable in temperatur es from minus 25 degrees F to 120 degrees F. We are seeking potential sources with the capabilities to design and manufacture the MIRCS. All firms regardless of size are encouraged to respond to this request for information. Please indicate business siz e when responding to this request.
