- RFQ is for the purchase of: Item 0001: NSN 8305-00-260-2564, Qty: 21,687 yards, Webbing, Textile, Herringbone Twill, Flat, Cotton Warp, Nylon Filling, 1 3/4 Inch Width Camouflage Green 483, Mildew Resistant, Type VIII, Breaking Strength Shall Be 2000 Lbs. Item 0002: NSN 8305-00-281-3315, Qty: 10,000 yards, Webbing, Textile, Herringbone Twill, Cotton, 0.75 Oz Per Linear Yard, 1 Inch Width, Camouflage Green 483, Mildew Resistant, Type II, Class 2B. RFQ will be issued on an Unrestricted basis. Four deliveries to Albany, GA, commencing 135 days after date of award are required. The military specification for these items is MIL-W-5665K and can be accessed via the ASSIST website at http://131.82.253.19/quicksearch/. In the box entitled "Document ID," type the specification number exactly as it appears and click on "Submit". Follow the instructions on each page. Click on the most recent edition of the specification. The specification will be in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Purchase history is as follows: Item 1: 2,821 yards last purchased April 2001 at $2.90 per yard. Item 2: 6,865 yards last purchased February 2000 at $0.375 per yard. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home AFTER 02 December 2002. From the Gateway home page, select "Search RFQs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. Amendments to this solicitation WILL NOT be available via the Gateway. In order to receive notification of amendments to this solicitation you must E-MAIL the Contract Specialist, listed below under Point of Contact, with the name and address of prospective offeror, phone and fax number and a point of contact. Please reference solicitation number in all e-mail correspondence. An unsuccessful offer may result if prospective offeror FAILS to e-mail the Contract Specialist of their intent to offer on this solicitation. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs. The Gateway will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFQ solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012 and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
