- Commerce Business Daily synopsis for NRA 02-OBPR-03, Research Opportunities in Physical Sciences: The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Biological and Physical Research (OBPR) solicits proposals for research investigations in Physical Sciences in OBPR's role to support the NASA mission. This solicitation is specific to the Physical Sciences Research Division within the OBPR. This NRA solicits proposals supporting integrated basic and applied research, analysis, and technology involving Combustion Science and Chemically Reacting Systems, Fundamental Physics, Materials Science, Biotechnology, and Fluid Physics. Proposals requested by this announcement are for ground-based and flight research investigations. This solicitation is open to university and other non-profit research institutions, private sector organizations, and other U.S. government agencies. This solicitation will be available electronically via the Internet at http://research.hq.nasa.gov/code_u/open.cfm starting on or about December 20, 2002. It will be open for the period through December 10, 2003; proposals for each Physical Sciences discipline may be submitted 90 days prior to the specified due date listed below. Further information about specific program elements may be obtained from the individual OBPR Enterprise Scientist listed in this NRA. Proposal due dates are staggered from March 28, 2003 through December 10, 2003. Proposal due dates are: Combustion Science March 28, 2003 Fundamental Physics Research April 25, 2003 Biotechnology Research July 31, 2003 Materials Science Research September 30, 2003 Fluid Physics Research December 10, 2003 Electronically submitted Notices of Intent to propose are requested. Instructions to electronically submit Notices of Intent are described in the NRA.
