Description

The U. S. Department of Education intends to award a contract for services to provide newspaper clippings on key education topics by 7:30 a.m. every weekday, excluding Federal holidays. This collection shall include relevant, educational-related articles from newspapers throughout the country; including but not limited to the ? top 100? major dailies; wire services; broadcast networks; and any other electronic or printed news gatherings/reporting services that are available on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The intranet version shall include an archive of stories for a least a month. The articles shall mention the U. S. Department of Education, the Secretary of Education and senior staff, major department programs and The President?s education activities and significant national and local education stories. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemental with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be used. Proposals are due: January 7, 2003, 11:00 a.m EST.
