Description

This project was originally advertised on September 19, 2002 with a solicitation issue date of October 10, 2002. Issuance of this solicitation is hereby rescheduled for approximately April 7, 2003. The principal components of the work include: a) Furnishing and installing electrical conduit, insulated conductors and grounding connections; b) removing existing transformer and oil; c) removing and disposing of four 115 KV oil filled single-phase transformers at Seminoe Powerplant and replacing them with three new single-phase transformers (existing transformer busings contain PCBs); d) removing and disposing of four 69 KV oil filled single-phased transformers at Heart Mountain Powerplant and replacing them with one new three-phase transformer (existing transformer bushings contain PCBs); e) furnishing and installing new transformers, including assembly, oil processing, testing and connections; f) replacing existing power cable and conduit at Heart Mountain Substation to accomodate change from single phase to three phase transformer (several feet of existing exposed conduit risers contain asbestos and require removal and replacement); g) replacing 5 Kilovolt disconnect switch at Heart Mountain Powerplant; h) making power and control connections to new transformer at Seminoe Powerplant; and i) furnishing extra materials. The work is located at Seminoe Powerplant, Heart Mountain Substation and Powerplant. Seminoe Poweplant is located approximately 80 miles southwest of Casper, Wyoming, in Carbon County and Heart Mountain Substation and Powerplant are located approximately 2 miles west of the city of Cody, Wyoming, in Park County. The bid opening date is tentatively scheduled for May 8, 2003. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, and additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 per set. All reasonable sources may submit a bid which shalll be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The North Americal Industrial Classification System Code is 335311. The small business size standard is 750 employees. This acquisition is unrestricted.
