Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific (vpl-1) proposes to contract the upgrade of the single point davit of USCGC MELLON, a 378? high endurance cutter, homeported in Seattle, WA. All work shall be performed onboard the USCGC MELLON, during the period of 10 February 2003 through 28 February 2003. Work items to include: lead ballast additions to support upgrade; strengthen single point davit; and replace single point davit with GFE and test. The Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued on or about 07 January 2003. Potential offerors are advised that the solicitation, specifications and other notifications can also be accessed on the web site: www.eps.gov. The solicitation is issued as a small business set-aside. All responsive sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantage Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
