- GovWorks is soliciting proposals from interested DHHS National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health (CoEs) and National Community Centers of Excellence in Women's Health (CCOEs) to establish a CoE/CCOE Research Coordinating Center which shall facilitate the performance of collaborative, multidisciplinary, high quality research in women's health. The objectives of the RCC are: 1) to provide a single contact point for public and private organizations seeking to conduct clinical trials and other research activities at member CoE/CCOEs; 2) to provide an effective administrative unit capable of quickly negotiating and executing research studies/clinical trials agreements; 3) to serve as an avenue for multi-center investigator-initiated trials/studies; 4) to train young investigators in the conduct of clinical research including clinical trials methodology, IRB submission, and Federal government regulations; and 5) to enhance the recruitment of diverse populations of women in geographically different locations into research studies/clinical trials. Funds are provided by the Office on Women's Health within the Department of Health and Human Services to provide support for coordinating ongoing research being conducted by the CoEs and CCOEs. All CoEs and CCOEs may submit an offer in response to the solicitation.
