Description
Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision required to replace paint booth in the hangar building at at U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City, Traverse City, MI. Major items of work shall include the following: Demolish and remove existing spray paint booth. Remove existing power conductors in preparation for installation of new power wiring. Remove or otherwise relocate misc. power and devices as required to meet NFPA 33. Remove existing fin tube radiators in preparation for installation of new radiant panels. Remove existing paint booth ductwork in preparation for new ductwork to be installed in the same location. Remove existing paint room supply air ductwork and terminate supply air with new louver in the expanded structure shop. Remove existing CMU walls and interior doors as indicated. Remove existing exterior coiling door and existing exterior pair of steel doors. Relocate existing eyewash. Relocate existing equipment and associated power. Relocate existing compressed air outlets including at least one location in the new paint booth. Relocate existing lighting circuits and install new light fixtures throughout. Furnish and install new semi-downdraft style paint booth. Inside dimensions shall be 14-foot x 15-foot(minimum) x 9-foot high. Complete factory manufactured unit shall be installed complete with all air intake and exhaust plenums, all filters and exhaust fan, all lighting, doors, door seals and hardware, and all accessories required for a complete and functioning unit. Comply with NFPA 33. Design, furnish and install complete exhaust and intake ductwork and discharge including wall or roof penetration and weather protection (cap). Include fire rated damper at hangar deck demising wall. Furnish and install new paint booth supplied air system. Furnish and install new draft table and dust filtration/collection system. Relocate existing (wet) fire suppression for coverage of reconfigured rooms and interior of paint booth. Construct new interior wall and install new interior and exterior doors. Extend paint booth sheet metal to underside of steel framing to enclose the expanded structure shop to reduce dust and noise transmission. Complete electrical power run in conduit to the new paint booth location from the existing power panel located on the second floor in the main power room. Install new suspended radiant heat panels. Estimated period of performance is 120 days after Notice to Proceed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238220 (formerly SIC Code 1711). This procurement is open to large and small businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This procurement is estimated between $100K and $250K.
