Description

This notice serves as Notice of Intention to issue a Prospectus for the Sale of Visitor Convenience Items in conjunction with Cooperating Association Activities within the Intermountain Region of the National Park Service. All Concessioners selling Visitor Convenience Items will be required to have a Cooperating Association Agreement between the National Park Service and the appropriate park area association under which Visitor Convenience Items are sold. Visitor Convenience Items are defined as limited photographic supplies, bottled water, sunscreen, insect repellent and in some cases fire pans, firewood, and phone cards, etc., upon approval by the Superintendent of the park area of operation. The Concessioners will operate in a space designated by the Cooperating Association Agreement. The length of the new contracts will be ten (10) years. The current operators have right of preference in renewal. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Prospectus will be issued January 14, 2003, for a 60 day response period. Offers for this Prospectus must be received by close of business (no later than 4:00 p.m.) on March 14, 2003, in the Business Resources Division, Intermountain Region, 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228 (Federal Express address: same). There will be a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy to be picked up in person. Checks or money orders must be payable to The National Park Service. (Cash cannot be accepted).
