Description: NA Description: The Government intends to award a sole source, five (5) year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Firm Fixed Price contract for Radar Display Units (RDUs), NSN: 5840-01-467-4229, Part Number: 60260. The contract will be awarded to Orbit Instrument Corporation, Hauppauge, Long Island, New York on a sole source basis. Orbit is the only source with a Non-Developmental Item or Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) solution that meets the Government’s requirements, and it is the only source with the expertise to overhaul and repair the RDU. The required delivery schedule is 20 units due 30 days after contract award with 10 units due each month thereafter until completion. This acquisition will be a new five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefini te Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with a total quantity purchase of up to 500 RDUs, and the overhaul and repair of Out-of-Warranty RDUs. The RDU is a modular component in the Firefinder family of radar systems, and the AN/TPS-59, Tactical Missile Defense R adar that is Marine managed equipment. The RDU is replacing the Control Display Unit (CDU), NSN 5840-01-353-9918. This acquisition is for the following item: NSN 5840-01-467-4229, P/N 60260, P/O AN/TPQ 36,37. Noun: Radar Display Units (RDUs). Func: T he RDU is used to display geographic location, azimuth (direction), attitude, and physical status of the Antenna Transceiver Group, and provides for operator input (RDUs).
