Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented by additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. N65236-03-R-0329 is issued as a RFP. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 11. The applicable NAICS Code is 335999 with a size standard of 500 employees. This is a sole source procurement because the item being purchased is a unique item available from Instruments, Inc., San Diego, CA. The required items are 4 each S11-64, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA). Delivery is FOB Origin prior to 26 June 2003. The Government will arrange transportation from the contractor?s facility to the final destination. The resulting contract will be Firm Fixed Price. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commerical Items, is hereby incorporated by reference. Award of the contract resulting from this solicitation will be made to the responsible offeror with the lowest price. Offerors are to provide a copy of the catalog or product literature for the S11-64. Offerors are to include a completed copy of provision FAR 52.212-3 Alt. I, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition, including the following clauses: 52.203-6 (Alt. I), 52,203-10, 52.219-8, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, and 52.222-37. DFARS Clause 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes and Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition; including the following clauses: 252.203-7000, 252.204-7004, 252.212-7000, 252.225-7001, 252.225-7012, 252.233-7000, and 252.247-7024. Any additional contract requirements or terms and conditions determined by the contracting officer to be necessary for this acquisition and consistent with customary commercial practices will be incorporated.
