- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking a source who can supply, and ship, to any SSA or associated office anywhere in continental US, Alaska, American Semoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Hawaii, or the Trust territories of the Pacific Islands. At the Government's option, the contractor may be required to install and repair the Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs) provided. The Government anticipates a need for approximately 2000 UPS rated between 960va and 1150va and approximately 500 UPS systems rated between 1960va and 2200va. These devices must provide reliable power to client server equipment during any type of power fluctuation/abnormality. Mandatory Requirements are as follows: --True on-line design. --+/- 3% voltage regulation. --Automatic restart. --Input and output noise suppression. --Emergency fail safe bypass. --Automatic and manual battery test feature. --Microprocessor-based control and monitoring. --Display of battery capacity, UPS % load, display and audible alert when on battery, on bypass, & UPS fault condition exists. --Software to provide for an orderly shutdown of attached hardware during extended power outages. Shutdown shall be done without any damage to attached equipment. --Flexible input cord measuring at least 6 feet. --Sealed, flame retardant, replaceable batteries with fuses, suitable for computer room applications. --Tower or rack mountable design. --Must be compatible with Windows 2000, XP, .NET operating system software. --Network-based power management software to permit remote monitoring and control of unit. --120V, 20A Input Plug, with at least four (4) NEMA 5-15/20 (T-slot) output receptacles --UL tested and approved. --Four year warranty to include on site repair/replacement to be performed after normal business hours. Interested vendors able to provide the required hardware solution are invited to submit information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to meet SSA's requirements. Technical literature is essential. Vendors responding should indicate whether the candidate products are available on the GSA schedule. Cost or pricing data may be submitted. This is not a request for proposals (RFP) and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of the data received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in SSA's assessment of capable sources. Responses to this notice should be submitted within 15 days of the publication of this notice and should refer to 03-2000. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged.
