- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solic itation will not be issued. Due to compatibility requirement with the existing Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer, the U.S. Army Contracting Agency intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Midac Corporation, 130 McCormick Ave #111, Cost a Mesa, CA 92626-3316, under the authority of FAR 6.302. This requirement is for Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer which is proprietary to Midac Corporation; consisting of the following: I4001-F FTIR Spectrometer, MCT Detector, ZNSE Optics, Dual ADC , Fiber Optic PCI Interface; CAB-100 Fiber Optic Cable, 100 Meters;I0200 Interface for Short path Gas Cell and I2000; I0225 15CM ZNSE Cell for I2000, Cell Body Constructed of nickel-Coated Aluminum, Gas Cell Windows made of moisture and chemical resistant ZNSE, to include two tube fittings; I0245 Heating for 15CM Cell; I0171 Temperature/Pressure Process Controller; I0173 Pressure Transducer, 0-30PSI; AQ4-PRO Autoquant Pro 4.0 Software; Grams/32-AI Grams/32/AI(TM) with Data Acquisition; I0181 Large Capacity Dewar Extender; ShuttleComp Pentium IV Shuttle Spacewalker; Compacces 17? Viewsonic lat-Screen Monitor, KVM Switch, Mouse and Keyboard. The I4001-F FTIR Spectrometer will be networked to existing Government FTIR Spectrometer and will utilize the existing government single software platform presently being used. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all pro posals received within the time specified below will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Informati on received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items applies to this acquisition.
