STATEMENT OF WORK OLYMPIC ATHLETE PROGRAM 1. SPECIFICATION OF SERVICES A.Develop Track and Field Curriculum for youth ages 6-18, specifically for overseas locations and conduct 6 Track and Field Camps at various United States Air Forces in Europe locations for up to 60 youth per week. Camps will be conducted between 16 Jun and 22 Aug 03. No camp would be offered the week of 30 Jun ? 4 Jul 03. Contractor will be responsible for all lodging, meals and transportation that week. B.Locations of the one-week session are RAF Molesworth, RAF Lakenehath, Ramstein AB, Spangdahlem AB, Aviano AB and Incirlik AB. If world conditions prevent safe travel into Turkey, the program will be repeated at Ramstein AB. C.Track and Field Program focuses on developing community and youth interest in the physical fitness through weeklong instruction and workshops. A coaches and parent workshop will also be offered one evening for 3 hours. D.One of the instructors must have been an Olympic athlete. E.Curriculum concentrates on the development of life skills in children through participation in track and field through creativity, social skills, goal achievement, and communication skills and self esteem. F.Each camp is to be conducted over a 4 day period (6 hours each day) lesson plan. Track and Field programs will run twice each day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. (3 hours each) G.The government will provide space for the clinics each site. H.Contractor will provide all supplies and equipment I.The government will be responsible for taking registration information of the participants. J.HQ USAFE/CONS will provide each individual instructor a Letter of Identification for access to military installation and activities. Contractor is required to provide personal data as requested a minimum of 60 calendar days before travel starts. 2. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENT OF CONTRACTOR A.Has operated a track and field programs off site for a minimum of 3 years B.Has experience with conducting track and field programs for youth in more than one state and preferably in Europe. In addition, must have received recognition from at least one national youth organization or entity. C.Have been a recipient of an Olympic Medal in Track and Field 3.PROCESS AND PROCEDURES FOR PERFOMING DUTIES: A.Coordinate logistical requirement with host project site officers once USAFE/SVPCY has determined the schedule based on the curriculum provided by the contractor. This includes time of camp each day, location of camp, etc. B.Travel itineraries will be coordinated through HQ USAFE/SVPCY. Airfare between countries (US to UK, UK to Germany, Germany to Italy etc.) will be the responsibility of the contractor. The government will provide local ground transportation and lodging costs. All other costs associated with travel, including necessary excess baggage requirements will be the responsibility of the contractor. Meals will be the responsibility of the contractor.
