Description
UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries is soliciting a proposal from manufacturer or dealer to provide a polyvinyl adhesive used in laminating machines to laminate particle board. Only one award is anticipated. Delivery is to be made F.O.B. destinations to FCI Mckean, PA, FCI Forrest City, AR, FCC Coleman and USP Lompoc, CA. Product description: Item 0001 - 0004 (ADH-0420) Adhesive, Polyvinyl, emulsion, white (wet) opaque (dry), working temp: room, Opening time: 10 - 30 minutes, Closing time:30 - 45 minutes, Machine time: 4 - 6 hours. Percentage of solids is 45 - 50%. Water Resistance level: minimal, Unit of measure: 2800 - 2850 per lbs/drum. Must meet Federal Specification MMM-A-180C. Estimated quantity:327,750 lbs. Contractor is required to stock at least a two month consignment of this product at contractor facility in order to meet the five calendar delivery acceptance period. The delivery acceptance is 5 calendar days after receipt of each delivery order. Period of Performance is the date of the award through five years. An economic price adjustment provision is included. Contractor is required to provide 1 five gallons of adhesive for testing purposes. Samples are to be submitted to Jack Cantrell, Product Support Center, 9595 West Quincy Street, Littleton, CO 80123. Samples are to be well label citing description and company name. A confirmation notice of sample sent must be provided to the Contracting Officer. Samples are required prior to the proposal closing due date of March 04, 2003 @ 2:00pm. Offerors shall submit signed and dated offers to UNICOR, Office Furniture Business Group, 320 First Street NW, Floor, Washington, DC 20534, ATTN: Bid Custodian. All offerors must acknowledgment all amendments if applicable. Offers received after the exact time and date specified will not be considered. Fax proposals are accepted at 202-305-7337 or 7350. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate proposals: past performance, technical/quality and price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
