Description

NA The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Edgewood Division intends to negotiate with Science and Engineering Services, Inc. (SESI), 4032 Blackburn Lane, Burtonsville, MD 20866, and Fibertek, Inc., 510 Herndon Parkway, Herndon, VA 20170 for follow-on contracts to acquire technical services to support additional testing of the contractor?s Joint Biological Standoff Detection Systems (JBSDS). The testing is intended to further evaluate the maturity of the technology and the design. This evaluation is also designed to evaluate the best technical approach to providing a Block 1 biological standoff detection capability to the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. Since these systems were developed by SESI and Fibertek, they have the proprietary knowledge of the inner workings needed to effectively maintain and operate their equipment during the evaluation testing. Contract performance period is expected to be April 2003 through June 2003. See numbered note 22.
