Description
NA The Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to Medtronic, Incorporated. Govworks/DOI intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the Department of Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. The medical center has a requirement for two (2) INSYNC ICD System to include one each of the following: Model 7272 - Insync ICD, Model 6947, defibrillator lead, Model 4193 - over the wire lead, Model 6216 and 6215 - lead delivery systems and Model 5076 - pacing lead. The minimum requirements are as follows: A) Must be FDA Approved, B) Multiprogrammable Anti-Tachyarrhythmia device with Morphology discrimination plus SVT/VT Discrimination and backup Bradycardia Pacing, C) Improved longevity, 6.8 years at 100% pacing, quarterly shocks, D) Must have PR Logic detection and the ability to look at both ventricles and evaluate simultaneously to determine normal sinus rhythm vs. VT/VF, and E) Must have a volume no greater than 66cc, Weight 117g, Thickness 12mm and Thickness of 16mm. This device is currently the only device on the market that has been determined to meet the requirements of this facility for a specific group of patients suffering from decreased ventricular function with ventricular Tachycardia and/or Ventricular Defibrillation. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, all information received within five (5) days of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
