Description
DIESCON3 is a recompetition of DIESCON II. A DRAFT Request For Quotation (RFQ), MDA908-03-Q-0037, is available as of 05 February 2003. To request a copy of this RFQ, you may send your request to DIESCON3@dia.mil, or to DeBorah.Lane@dia.mil, or to Diana.Bradham@dia.mil, or to Jim.Dashiell@dia.mil A separate notice will be posted on GSA Advantage. Vendors MUST possess a GSA Schedule contract to participate in this acquisition effort. A pre-solicitation DIESCON3 Conference will be held on Friday, 14 February 2003, from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 P.M., at the Defense Intelligence Analysis Center (DIAC) in the Tighe Auditorium, Bldg 6000, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, DC 20340-5100. Attendance at this pre-solicitation Conference is NOT a prerequisite for participation, HOWEVER, the vendors must possess a GSA Schedule contract. A Court Reporter will make a complete record of this Conference. Upon receipt of the DRAFT RFQ, vendors are encouraged to read the RFQ and its attachments and to submit issues/comments NOT LATER THAN 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, 11 February 2003, in order to allow sufficient time to prepare a response to the submitted issues/comments. It is our intent to present the issues/comments and the governments responses at the pre-solicitation Conference. Other issues relative to the DIESCON3 effort will be presented too. The government is desirous to have large, small, women owned, disadvantaged, handicapped, and 8(a) firms participate in the DIESCON3 requirement. (NOTE: DIESCON3 is NOT an 8(a) set-aside, nor any other set-aside). Access to the Bolling Air Force Base and the DIAC is controlled. Vendors who wish to attend this Conference MUST enter Bolling Air Force Base via the Visitor Entrance (South Gate), Overlook Road, South East, Washington, DC (just off of Route 295). Parking is extremely limited. There is no reserved parking. Cars improperly parked will be ticketed/towed. Carpooling is recommended. Plan to walk some distance from parking to the DIAC building. Participants are cautioned to allow sufficient time to gain entry to the Bolling Air Force Base, find parking, walking to the DIAC and to gain access to the DIAC as well as the Conference Auditorium. Auditorium seating is LIMITED. Apply early so you have the opportunity to have a seat; based upon the response by the vendor community, the government reserves the right to limit the number of attendees to the seating available. There is NO RESERVE seating. Attendance: Contractors (limit of 2 representatives per firm) who desire to attend the DIESCON3 Pre-Solicitation Conference MUST e-mail the following information to DIESCON3@dia.mil, or to Valerie.Pietro@dia.mil, or Diana.Bradham@dia.mil, or to Jim.Dashiell@dia.mil. (Note: Telephone requests WILL NOT be accepted). Requests to attend MUST be received NOT LATER THAN Monday, 11:00 A.M., 10 February 2003. - Names of attendees. - Social Security Number(s) (Note: If an individual currently holds a DIAC access, so state and do NOT send SS number(s)). - Name of firm. - Phone number; facsimile number; e-mail address(es); job title; and if applicable cellular and pager numbers. - The government will NOT reimburse the vendor for any expenses associated with its attendance at this Conference.
