Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, has a project entitled Bear Creek Culver Replacement on the Olympic National Forest. This project is located at mile post 6.5 on Forest Road 3000000, on the north end of the Pacific Ranger District, Section 10, Township 30 North, Range 11 West, W.M., approximately 37 miles west of Port Angeles, Washington. Project work consists of excavation and embankment, removing 900 mm (36?) corrugated pipe, furnishing and installing 3658mm diameter steel structural plate pipe, construction staking, seeding & mulching, base and asphalt concrete surface, and hauling borrow for bedding and backfill for pipe and roadbed. The magnitude of construction is $25,000 to $100,000. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Offers No. R6-OLY-3-07-O and will be available through this website on or about February 28th, 2003, with offers to be received no later than the close of business (4:00 p.m.), April 2nd, 2003. Telephonic or written requests for this solicitation will not be honored. Award of this contract is anticipated to be made no later than April 20th, 2003 with work starting in mid-July and will run through September 30, 2003. This solicitation is issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside and FAR part 12, Commercial Items procedures will be utilized. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 234990 with a corresponding size standard of $28.5 million. Requirements of the Davis Bacon Act will apply to any resulting contract. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. The source receiving award of this project will be required to provide payment protection, for example a payment bond, prior to the date work starts.
