- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis a Time and Materials contract for repair and maintenance services on Varian linear accelerator x-ray systems. This procurement is a sole source to Varian Medical Systems, 596 Alder Drive, Milpitas CA 95035 for proprietary rights. The requirement is to provide repair/maintenance services, as requested, via a service call on Varian linear accelerator x-ray machines, Models L6000, L200, L3000, and L1000A. The contract will contain additional firm fixed price CLINs (with a minimum order quantity of zero) for the following parts (maximum amount identified): 1) P/N 856340-01, Thyratron Tube, 3 each; 2) P/N 829450-01, Electron Gun, 3 each; 3) Dqing Thyratron Tube, 3 each; 4) P/N 834252-01, Pulse Cable (3000 ft), 1 each. The period of performance is three years. The services shall be performed on-site at the Non-Destructive Evaluation Facilities, Building 15988, China Lake, Ca. The China Lake site of the NAWCWD is located adjacent to the city of Ridgecrest, approximately 150 miles north of Los Angeles in Southern California's upper Mojave Desert. Any firm believing that they can provide the required services and products, may submit a written response to be received at the contracting office by the above response date, 21 February 2003. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response must clearly demonstrate the respondent's ability to satisfy the government's requirement. Responses shall be submitted to Jaime Rios (see POC details above). This acquisition is being awarded under FAR Part 13.5 procedures. Award will be made on or about 17 March 2003. Note 22 applies.
