Description

NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are bein g requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is: DAAH01-03-T-R001, the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect t hrough Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. The contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure are: CLIN 0001 ? one (1) Lot consisting of 26 Rate Gyros 110 degree/sec range, P/N RRS01-01-0100 and 13 Rate Gyros 200 degree/sec rang e, P/N RRS01-02-0100. The requested delivery date is 4 weeks ARO. Inspection/Acceptance/FOB will be destination. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action is for gyros which the Government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Sole source for this item is: BAE Sytems/Condor Pacific. Any award resulting from this RFQ will be issued on Standard Form 1449 and will contain all clauses required by law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) a s appropriate for the dollar value of the award. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items; Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; and Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Required to Implement Statutes o r Executive Orders ? Commercial Items, are applicable to this acquisition. Offer is due not later than 12:00 noon, Central Time, 14 Feb 03, in the contracting office, Building 5400, Room B145, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama 35898-5280. Electronic quotes/offer s are acceptable. Quotes/offers received after the specified date will not be considered for award.
